Big Floral Backgrounds are So Pretty

Happy Friday!!

Nora is here today with a wonderful pink and navy card. She used So Pretty and Full On Floral, and the result is positively delightful!

There is a lot going on here!
She has a wonderful ombre effect happening that really adds drama to her card.
The pink embossing over the navy is sweet and sophisticated at the same time.
I love how she stamped the big background on 2 panels and layered them together so that the pattern is not interrupted.
The bit of thread "ties" it all together! (sorry, couldn't resist the pun)

This card is going to make someone really happy!
When is the last time you sent a card to let someone know you were thinking of them? I'll be there are at least 2-3 names that pop into your head immediately. Why not make them a card and send it. You will surely brighten both of your days :)

Stars are Rad!

Happy Thursday!!

This is an exciting day!
As you read this I am on my way to Columbus Ohio! I'm going to Simon Says CREATE! I've got 2 super fun create and takes that I'll be sharing, so if you're going, be sure to stop by my table to get inky with me! The event is sold out BUT the store is open to the public with no admission fee, AND while supplies last, customers who purchase $50 in the store will receive a wristband to come to the create and take room! That's where I'll be! You can get all the details HERE

To keep the excitement rolling, Kelly is here with another awesome set of cards! She is on fire when it comes to creating a cool one layer cards! I'm loving how she makes a whole bunch of them in various colors and such so she has a stash to pull from when she needs one later.

She used lots of the RAD 2 words to create her birthday greeting on these cards, and then made her own stencils using Stars Fri-Dies

Such a simple thing to do! Cut a star shape from a scrap of cardstock, then use the negative as a stencil! You can see her stencils laying in front of her cards. Sponge on coordinating ink colors and you've got yourself one star of a card!

Now that is a whole lot of awesome for a Thursday!!

Wonderful Words is Retiring!

Happy Wednesday!

A couple of days ago, a new category appeared in the store...Retiring!
19 awesome stamp and Fri-Die sets are in that category and will be retired forever as they sell out.
One of those awesome sets is Wonderful Words.
Laurel created a lovely card using this set.

That pretty sentiment is from Wonderful Words. I really like how she tucked it at the bottom of the card front and nestled her Pretty Posies panel around it.

Look at how she scattered the on the card, one on the panel and one peaking from under. Such a perfect touch of bling to bring out the gold embossed images.

Be sure to visit the Retiring category so you don't miss out on anything! I don't want you to be sad later when these sets are gone.

Happy Tuesday!!

I absolutely adore Jeanne's colorful style. Check out this delightful card she stamped!

She stamped Modern Petals a few times in 4 different colors.
What a fabulous background that made!!
Then, she stamped a second background panel with Wallflower and added a sentiment from the same set. It looks really sweet nestled inside Funky Square Tags.
Did you notice how she hung that tag? She used Lovely Links Fri-Dies and added Nuvo drops to create enamel dots.

If you'd like to add Wallflower to your collection, you better hurry! It is one of the 19 sets that is retiring. They are all specially priced in the Retiring category, but once they are gone...they are gone forever. These retiring sets will not be re-ordered.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Special Guest Designer: Nicole Picadura!

Happy Saturday!

Today I am excited to bring you a special guest! She is sweet and talented and just a joy. I was so happy to have her be part of our first release blog hop last month, and she's back today for one more special post. Please welcome Nicole Picadura!

I started stamping in 2007 and quickly fell in love. I love everything about stamps and all sorts of techniques that are related! My go-to style when creating and stamping is clean and simple. It is important to me that any leveled stampers - even a just-starting-beginner stampers - can follow my tutorials and create beautiful projects. It doesn't have to be fancy or complicated when it comes to sharing the love of stamping!
When I am not stamping, I love to spend time with my hubby, our cat Honeydew, and our puppy Kirby. I also enjoy books, movies, and music.

Nicole got colorfully creative with a couple of our floral stamp sets. Let's check out this awesome project, and hear from Nicole just how she did it...
I used both Full on Floral and Flower Power stamp set. I stamped the Full on Floral with a light gray ink to create a tone-to-tone background stamping on a light gray cardstock.

For the sentiment, I used Flower Power and stamped it on a black cardstock with versamark ink pad. After heat embossing them in white embossing powder, I colored them in with colored pencils in rainbow shades to create a blended look on the sentiment to pop them out.

I fussy cut the sentiment into two parts, and popped it using foam tapes. I also tucked in some clear sequins and clear droplets behind the cutout sentiments.

A very special thank you to Nicole for spending some time with us as our special guest. I hope enjoyed her visit! Please leave her some love :)

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Pink, Navy & White

Happy Friday!!

Pink, Navy and white. It's one of my favorite color combinations! Vicki has created a fantastic card using these colors and our new Modern Petals with Shenanigans.

I love how she stamped the border stamp strips on a diagonal instead of just straight across. It's one of those simple things that really makes a big impact on the look of the card. And did you see that she embossed the sentiment on vellum? So cool!

If you'd like to try your hand at this awesome color combo, you're in luck! Our new challenge just started today and guess what it is?? Yup! Pink, Navy & White! We'd love to see your creations so come play! Click here to visit the challenge.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Floating Flower Balloon

Happy Thursday!

Today I have a sweet card that will surely make you sigh. It has such a peaceful and happy feeling about it :) Kimberly used the new Floating stamp set and did a little fussy cutting with it.

Here is what Kimberly said about her design process:
I stamped and heat embossed the hot air balloon on vellum and colored it on the back side with Copic markers. The sunburst is from an embossing folder, highlighted with some Distress Ink. The cloud background was also created with Distress Inks.

I hope this sweet card has lifted your spirits today!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Scrapbooking is Rad!

Happy Wednesday!

The majority of my designers are cardmakers. However, many of us started in scrapbooking first. So it always gives me a special thrill when one of the Girl Fridays chooses to share one of their special layouts with us. A layout is personal for sure, and I love seeing how they use my stamps in their own personal life. It's special for sure! Today, Girl Friday Lisa has a RAD layout featuring her little using Rad 2

Here's what Lisa said about this fab layout:
This layout was created using the Rad Stamp Set. I love how I didn't need any patterned paper for this layout to look complete. The words stamped in the background multiple times, made for a cool and graphic design, while still keeping the eyes drawn towards the photos. A mix of stain dabbers and misters helped this background come together in no time at all.

This set is so perfect for boys and teens. It certainly works for girls too with the simple change of an ink color or two, but as the mom of 2 boys, it was in fact designed with my boys in mind.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

On the 17th of each month, I'll still do the reminder post because it's super important to me, and I'll be doing it from the new blog!
But wait! There's more!

You'll have to visit the new Calling All Sistahs blog to see what that is!
