December 9

Happy Friday!!

I'm so happy it's the weekend!

I just put 8 brand new stamp sets into production that will be debuting in February :)
I'm really excited about them!
There are lots of sentiments!  some classic, some sassy, which means something for everyone.
There are also really pretty designs that will delight those of you who love your markers.
I have lots more in my head that are making a lot of noise so I need to get them out! LOL!
My boys are taking off for the weekend with their wrestling team, and my hubby is leaving for a business trip so I think I'll cuddle up by the fire with my doggies, and turn on Gilmore Girls and design those sets! Yay!
If there is a sentiment you've been dying to have,
send me a note through this link
It just might get made into a stamp! :)

Girl Friday Laurel
has a super cool card for you today.
She used Exclamations with Whole Shebang and a border from Holly Jolly Borders

I love this!
I just love the motion of the ink that she washed over her card front.
It feels like an explosion of happy!
That Holly Jolly Borders set just keeps proving over and over that it's trendy and fun enough
to use everyday!

Have a super weekend!

December 7

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have 2 super cool cards to share with you from

She couldn't decide which way she wanted to go in her design process
using Butterbows
so she did both!
Yay for us!

So different but so cool!
Here's how she created that awesome rainbow border on the sides:
"The strips along the sides are colored with Copics and then I removed a little bit of the color with blending solution and a cloth to add a little texture."

We're halfway to the weekend folks!
Enjoy the rest of your week!

December 1

Happy Thursday!

Can you believe it's December already?
My oh my the time certainly does fly!

Our temperatures have dipped to the 30's here in Colorado
and with all the wonderful holiday lights on everyone's houses,
it's definitely starting to feel a lot like Christmas!

Girl Friday Lisa
was inspired by a retro ornament.
She used our Ornament Tag Fri-Dies with Funky Flakes Fri-Dies
to create this dynamite card...

Ok, let's all just take a moment to ooh and aah...

Here's what Lisa said about her design process:
To create this card I started by die cutting my ornament using foil cardstock, Ornament Tag Fri-die set, and the Funky Flakes Fri-die set. I wanted to create a retro-ornament feel so I die cut the smaller circle slightly to the lower right side of the larger circle and inlaid the two together. I then added my snowflake on top and finished it off with the ornament topper and hanger. The sentiment is from the Snowy Sayings Stamp Set.

Isn't it stunning?!
I love the look of the foil.
I think it would be amazeballs done up in glitter paper too!

Have a wonderful day!!

November 22

Happy Tuesday!

Today I start cooking!!
Thanksgiving is just 2 days away here in the US
and in Colorado, I'll be cooking for the next 3 days
cuz that's just how I roll.

Girl Friday Kelly
is here today with an awesome card
and
awesome tutorial!
Check this out...

Hi folks! I'd like to share a tip for turning a straight sentiment into a rounded sentiment that wraps around a circle, like the "you deserve a round of" sentiment above.

The sentiment comes from the Bravo set, where as you can see, the sentiment is straight.

I used a circle template (this one I just grabbed off my desk from a prior project!) With the MISTI closed, tape the circle where you want the sentiment to be in relation to your card showing through. I'm going to be lining the stamp along the inside circle here.

Open the MISTI and start shaping your sentiment along the inside circle.

Stamp, and then repeat as needed. In this case, 3 sentiments happened to fit pretty well around the circle. I tested this quickly on scratch paper first to see if it was close enough. If the sentiment was way off, I'd try changing the size of the circle.

I could have stopped here, but I wanted to ink the inside of the circle. The nice thing is that since you just lined up the sentiment around the circle, you know it's the perfect size to be a template for ink sponging! To make sure it's aligned right, since you can't see through the paper, I made a light pencil mark inside the circle. Looks good!
Then I blended ink, and cut some stars of gold lame fabric with the Stars Fri-Dies. The rest of the sentiment is embossed on a strip of black cardstock. I cut two strips off at the end and spaced them out to make it a little more interesting on that side of the card.

Thanks so much for looking!
-Kelly

to create a pretty pattern.
LOVE the way she inked the sentiment in multiple colors
to tie in with the colors on the card.
