First up is Kimberly

"I couldn't resist making a trio of cards using the Chameleon markers! I used colors from the Warm set along with a purple I received at CHA. The markers work great and blend effortlessly on a large open area like the flower from Mon Ami!"

Next up is Lisa with Starlequin and Big Treble

"I love the gradient look that these markers can achieve so I decided to color an entire background with them, but I also wanted to challenge myself to keep this as a flat card. Challenge accepted! I started by stamping this wonderful sentiment from the Big Treble Stamp Set onto my panel. I then created a mask for my sentiment before stamping my background with the Starlequin Stamp Set. This set is super easy to line up to create one cohesive look. I then colored in my background with these markers, giving each diamond a gradient look. After adding a black panel behind it, I adhered it to my cardbase and finished it all off with some black rhinestones."

Last but certainly not least is Shona with absolutely lovely flowers from Pretty Posies and our Retiring Wonderful Words along with a fantastic sentiment from our Tag You're It stamp set!
"Using flowers and leaves from 'Pretty Posies' and retiring set 'Wonderful Words' I stamped them all using Memento black ink on Strathmore Smooth Bristol Cardstock. I used the Chameleon 'Floral Tones' pen set to shade all the flowers. It took a bit of practice and I found that the slower I went, the less streaks I left and you can see on my flowers how I got better as I went along. I would blend for 2 seconds for the smaller flowers, 3 seconds for the medium and 4-5 seconds for the biggest ones. The colours are beautiful and perfect for flowers. They really are magical to use!!"

Are you feeling inspired yet? I certainly am! In fact I'm loving that card from Shona so much that I decided to do a very special and very limited offer on a very special product bundle!

It's called the Wish It Was All Mine Bundle O'Fun! It's valued at over $75 and you can get it for just $49.99 while supplies last!  Click HERE to check it out

She used our Starlequin with Pretty Posies and a fabulous sentiment from Lovely Greetings

She embossed it in white which I think always looks stunning against kraft. The border was colored with a layer of white colored pencil, then a layer of color so that it shows up nicely on the kraft cardstock.

Tag Buddies Shaker Card that will Make You Smile!

Happy Tuesday!

Today Lisa has a shaker card that is sure to make you smile!
She got creative with our Tag Buddies Fri-Dies and layered 2 of them to create a cool frame that turned into a really dynamite shaker element for a fun card!

"To create this card I started by diecutting my shaker tag using two of the dies from the Tag Buddies Fri-Die Set. I then die cut the Smile Fri-die three times and layered them together for extra depth and dimension. This was all added to the front of some patterned paper. I finished my card off by stamping this hilarious sentiment from the Sassy Smiles Stamp Set."

You're smiling aren't ya *wink*

Happy Sunday!

Wait til you see the awesome card Shona has created for you today using Casual Comfort stamps and Smiling Fri-Dies!

"I heat embossed the branch image from 'Casual Comfort' in white around the outside of the card front. I then blended a 'rainbow' of Distress Inks, using one over each branch and then blending together. The 'Smile' was die-cut 3x from black cardstock, glued together and then covered with lots of Glossy Accents. A rainbow always makes me smile!! "

Friend Friday with Chameleon - Take 2!

Hello and welcome to our 2nd Friend Friday post with Chameleon!

We did a little product swap, we get to play with some of their fabulous markers, they get to play with some of our fabulous stamps and YOU get to delight in the creativity that resulted from this magical combination! But wait, there's more! Awesome prizes are up for grabs so you'll want to be sure to comment on all the posts each Friday in July!

If you missed our first Friend Friday post, click here so you can see all the wonderful things you missed and get your chance to get in on our prize that is up for grabs! Winners will be announced at the end of this month...just in time for our NEW RELEASE!

First up today is Maureen using our Pretty Posies with Be stamps and Chameleon's Nature Tones

"Chameleon pens made it easy to color these Pretty Posies quickly and easily. The Nature Tones are perfect for coloring leaves and flowers. I've always struggled with coloring mediums, but no more! I can't believe that variation of color you get with just one marker. I used the markers in the simplest way possible, there was no blending here. Can you believe that?! WOW.

Once my images were colored, I added them to a white panel with foam tape and then layered that onto a white card base. The sentiment, from the Be stamp set, was added to the Scallop Tag using the Chalkboard technique. A scattering of sequins helped add flow to the overall design."

The scattered leaves and flowers die cut from Posies Fri-Dies are colored with GR1, GR2, GR4 and BR3. That fun little border element at the bottom of her card is a snippet of our Modern Petals set.

I love the sentiment from Be embossed in white on our Scallop Tag Fri-Dies with a little chalkboard background thrown in for good measure :)

Next up is Nora using Pretty Posies and Chameleon Markers. She was so delighted with her 5 pack she received from Chameleon that she purchased more for her stash! Shh, don't tell her hubby *wink*

"This was my first card using the Chameleon Pens paired with "Pretty Posies." I used a two color blend on the pink flower, using PK3 (Bubblegum) and PR4 (Purple Grape). On the blue flower, I blended BL3 (Sky Blue) and BL6 (Royal Blue) together. I used only one marker-GR3 (Grass Green) to get the ombre effect on my leaves. I think it is cool with only one marker you can get so much color variation depending on how much blending fluid you used!!"

She had so much fun that she created a second project too! She used the same marker set with our Mon Ami for this one.

"On my second card, I think the two color blend worked out even better for the flowers. I combined Y12 (Summer Sun) with YO3 (Warm Sunset) for my blend. I love that I only had to use two pens to get the varigation that I wanted for the flowers. For the leaf, I used YG13 (Spring Meadow). To add a little shine, I covered the three colored elements with a sparkle marker."

Curtis Background

Happy Wednesday!

Maureen has a delightful card to share with you today!

She stamped the flowers from Pretty Posies and then sponged them with ink. I like that she let the leaf extend past the edge of the card. That cool background at the top of her card is the Curtis Background stamp. The cute sentiment from Special Delivery fits perfectly with the whimsy of the posies :)

I'm making room for lots of awesome new stamp sets coming in August and October!

Sassy Smiles

Happy Monday!

Nora is here sharing a really cool card! She got her ink on with our Sassy Smiles stamp set
(it's filled with awesome sassy sentiments) and a couple of our die sets.

I wanted to use the "Linked Fri-Die" on my card because it is retiring AND one of my favorite dies. I love the different things you can do with these borders. I chose use this particular border on my card front like a puzzle, using a piece of acetate as the base so I could adhere it all together.

that big cool smile is from our Smiling Fri-Dies that also features a thanks and bravo die.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Friend Friday with Chameleon!

Hello, I'm so happy you're here today! We are doing a month-long series with Chameleon! Join us each Friday to see inspiration from us and get the link to hop over to their blog to see inspiration from them, and chances at prizes both places!

So before we get started, a little back story...
I am a marker-phobe. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the awesome creations that artists do with blending colors and admire their skill and talent. I don't color because it intimidates the bejeebers out of me!
When I was at CHA last January, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the Chameleon team. I watched them for the longest time demonstrating how their awesome markers work and I started to think I might actually be able to color with these!! They have this unique chamber that you place over the marker that makes blending color a total snap! One pen does it all!

I'm excited to be able to share our stamps with the Chameleon design team, and in turn, Chameleon provided the Girl Fridays with a set of their markers. YOU get to see the awesome pairing of cool companies and see some incredible projects each Friday for the entire month of July! Woot Woot!

First up is Laurel with the Cool Tone pens and our Special Delivery Stamp set.

"I used all the colors in the Cool Tones pack. I fused each marker for about 15 seconds, then started at the bottom of each envelope and worked my way up to the top. On the mailbox, I didn't fuse at all."

Next up is Kelly with Mon Ami stamps  and Warm Tones pens

"The best way I found to get a smooth transition of color is to hold the pen upright while coloring, so that the full nib is touching the paper. Otherwise, if you hold it on an angle, each stroke of the pen will have a slight light to dark gradation, resulting in tiny lines as you color back and forth. You can somewhat see this on the middle petal of the two flowers. I definitely got better after a few flowers. Another thing to note is that you can have fun blending two colors together. The top flower started out just like the bottom flower. With the melon marker I started at the tips of the petals and colored my way towards the center. With the yellow marker I did the reverse, starting at the center and coloring towards the tips of the petals."

How's that for a great start? The fun's not over yet!

Happy Wednesday!

Our Shenanigans stamp set is awesome if I do say so myself!
Laurel did a little freehand painting to create that pretty background...kinda looks like smeared yummy frosting doesn't it? She stamped the big bold sentiments in black and then added the fun sassy sentiment in white embossing.

Now THAT is a birthday card with instructions I can follow! LOL!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)
